Andra L. Taylor is a devoted mother, grandmother, and retired educator with over 30 years of service in the field of education. A proud graduate of Jack Yates High School, she earned a Bachelor’s degree from Southern University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, followed by Master’s degrees from Texas Southern University in Houston and Texas Woman’s University in Denton. She later achieved her Doctorate from Texas A&M University.
Andra is a lifelong learner and a passionate advocate for faith, education, and community service. She is a dedicated member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. and an active leader in her church home, Missouri City Church of Christ, where she serves in ministry and youth mentorship.
Born and raised in Sweeny, Texas, Andra is the daughter of the late Ludwell Taylor and Jacqueline Ingram. She is a writer, reader, poet, home cook, western film fan, and sports enthusiast. Known for her encouragement and insight, she continues to inspire others with her heart, humility, and unwavering faith.
